A left-handed batsman, Langer is best known for his partnership with Matthew Hayden as Australia’s test opening batsmen during the early and mid-2000s, considered one of the most successful ever. He was appointed Head Coach of the Australian cricket team in 2018.
Despite Australia currently retaining the Ashes in just three matches, that too only a month-and-a-half after winning the T20 World Cup title, there is no guarantee he will continue as head coach.

Former Australian test and ODI cricketer Andrew “Roy” Symonds died in a motor crash at the age of 46 near Townsville northern Queensland on Saturday May 15th. Tributes are pouring in at the news of his shock death. Meanwhile, Australia’s great Mark Taylor paid tribute to Symonds on tv as the news broke. “I can’t quite believe it.
